The decoration of the apartment was lovely, with a cozy and homely atmosphere. The general areas were well-maintained and clean, making it easy for me to move around and enjoy my stay. The apartment was also accessible for senior people, with no steep staircases or long distances to walk.

I would have appreciated more assistance from the children working there.

I had an amazing stay at Casa Serena. The apartment I stayed in had a stunning view of the ocean and valley, which made every morning a delight. The hosts, Helen and Chris, were incredibly thoughtful and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They even surprised me with a bottle of wine and a bowl of fresh fruit upon my arrival. The apartment itself was clean, modern, and had all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby trails and a short drive to the beach and local amenities. I also had the opportunity to try paragliding, thanks to the hosts introducing me to the local paragliders. I had a fantastic experience at Casa Serena and would highly recommend it.

While the apartment was clean, it could use some renewal and the twin beds were uncomfortable. Additionally, there were not enough towels and some simple facilities like tissues and paper towels were lacking.

Mind-blowing apartment in a stunning and convenient location with easy access to nearby trails and sites. Supermarket nearby and local bars within walking distance. The hosts are superb, providing thoughtful welcome gifts and lots of little extras that make it feel like a genuine home from home. The facilities are excellent, with a breathtaking ocean view from the balcony. The hosts are quick to reply to messages and available for support if needed. We loved our stay so much that we booked again for next year.

If I may suggest one improvement, it would be to have more assistance available for senior guests. Sometimes, I needed some extra help with carrying my luggage or getting around the property, and the children working there were not always readily available.

We got great value for our money at Casa Serena Apartments. The room was beautiful, modern, and clean, with all the necessary facilities for a comfortable stay. The location was ideal, with stunning ocean views and close proximity to the beach, bars, restaurants, and levada walks. The hosts, Helen and Chris, were amazing - they were responsive, approachable, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They even introduced us to the locals and arranged for us to try paragliding, which was an incredible experience with breathtaking views of Madeira. We can't wait to come back!

The only thing that could have made our stay better was having air conditioning in the apartment. Although a fan was provided, it didn't do much to cool us down during the excessively hot week.
